The Auction section is a very busy place, so many rules will be laid out:
1. Auctions cannot be more then 3 days long.
2. The auction holder has 8 hours to declare a winner. If they are not online for the entire 8 hours, and extra 3 hours will be added. If no winner is declared in 24 hours the auction will be closed.
3. Any auction can have up to 3 items. Any more and it MUST be a bundle.
4. If the auction holder has more then 1 of the items being auctioned they may declare more then 1 winner. They must say they have more then 1 item in the beginning, though.
5. You are not allowed to edit a post with a bid in it.
6. You may only have 2 open auctions at any one time. Any more than 2 open the last one created will be closed.
7. You are only allowed to extend an auction once and for no more than 24 hours from the original ending time. The extension must be made BEFORE the original end time of the auction. You can not decide to extend the auction once the original end time has passed. You may open a new one right after you ask for it to be closed as a late extension.
6. NO surprise auctions, the items have to be specified as to what they are.
7. You can maintain a current list of the lead(ing) bid(s) but are not required to do so. No one is to harass an auctioneer asking them if they are leading.
8. No withdrawing of bids in auctions, unless you have been specifically told by the auctioneer that you have no chance of winning the auction, or it has been extended from the original ending time.
9. All auctions must have a closing date and time (in KinzTime). No, "This closes tonight" or "Sunday". We want a numerical date such as, "This closes on 9/15 at 10pm". Please put an end time in your auction that you will be on line to take care of your auction, to either announce a winner, extend or close it. If you declare a winner you must attempt to contact your winner within a 6 hour period or they will not be held responsible for their items.
10. If you chose to list automatic winning bids for your auction items these "auto-wins" must be posted on the auction thread before the auction starts. No adding or changing auto-wins after the auction has started.
11. Automatic wins should be close in value. Not a drastic difference in price. There can not be statements that you will add to equal the automatic win(s), you are auctioning off the item in the auction and not the rest of your items.
12. No asking/begging for an auction to close early. Everyone should have their fair chance at an auction. Begging to have it close early only makes it less likely that they will get the highest bid possible. Please NO asking to close it so you win.
13. No negotiating trades on auction threads - Please post your bid and that is it. If the auctioneer and bidder want to work out a trade, close the auction and take it to either the auctioneer’s or bidders trading thread.
14. No bidding the same item the person is offering to "cancel out that item". That makes no sense and is just trying to circumvent normal trading rules. Doing this invalidates your entire bid.
15. No editing/changing auction bids once they are posted. Be very sure what you want to bid before you post it as you may NOT edit on an auction thread. The only post that should be edited in an auction thread is the beginning post where the auctioneer can update leader status or want list. Any bids that are edited will result in warning/infraction and possible loss of trusted trader status. If a mistake is made, please post a correction comment in a new post. If you bid the wrong item say, you bid Raccoon PSI but you wanted to bid Signature Raccoon PSI, please contact a admin. If the trade is extremely unfair (Say, someone is auctioning a Signature Panda slide and you bid red lava) please contact an admin at the end of the auction if you are declared winner, we do not want unfair trades to have to be done. We will ask if you are sure on the winning bid and if you say "No, I do not want to do the trade because of the unfair difference" you will not have to. But if the trade is fair, you're bid is in and you have to follow through.
16. You can only bid for yourself - You can not make a bid for someone else, in someone else's name. Whatever bid you make you are responsible for.
17. When adding on to an item, be sure to restate your entire offer.
